smoasters CAPITAL. · Finance your coffee sourcing.

Coffee in stock.
Cash in your business.

The harvest does not wait for your cash flow. CAPITAL. arranges financing for the coffee itself, with our partners from 7% a year, so you can buy the lot when it is right and pay as it sells, instead of choosing between quality and liquidity.

Stacked jute sacks of green coffee Financing tied to the lot, not to your overdraft
The best lots are bought months before the first bag is sold. Most roasteries pass on coffee they wanted, because the money is tied up in coffee they already bought.

What CAPITAL. finances

Green coffee financing.
Forward buying.

Money for the coffee itself, tied to the lot in our warehouse. Not equipment, not existing stock, not your overdraft.

Green coffee financing

Buy the lot at harvest, pay it down as you roast and sell it.

Forward buying

Contract the next crop at a price fixed now and pay as the coffee leaves the warehouse.

Flexible terms

Repayment shaped around your roasting rhythm, not a fixed monthly instalment.

Built for coffee

Assessed by people who understand harvest cycles, differentials and shrinkage.

How it works

Three steps, one lot at a time.

01

Tell us about the coffee

The lot, the volume, the price and what you plan to do with it. If it is sourced through GREEN. we already have most of that.

02

We arrange the financing

Together with our financing partners you get an indicative term sheet: amount, tenor, cost and security, in writing, before you commit.

03

You roast, sell and repay

The coffee sits in our warehouse and you call it off as you roast. Repayment follows the coffee leaving the shelf.

What you get first

A term sheet in writing.

Amount, tenor, cost and security, before you commit to anything.

Where it starts

In the shop, on the lot.

Pick a lot, choose "Finance with CAPITAL." at checkout, and the request reaches us with the lot data already attached.

What it costs

Every cost on one page.

Financing, storage, release and delivery, side by side. Nothing hidden in the small print of the term sheet.

Green coffee finance

Buy the harvest
when it happens.

Coffee is bought once a year and sold every week. Green coffee financing closes that gap: the lot is paid at origin on time, which protects your relationship with the producer, and you settle as the coffee turns into roasted bags.

  • Forward buying without draining your working capital
  • Producers and exporters paid on the agreed terms
  • Secure the lot you cupped instead of the lot still available in March
  • Works alongside GREEN. sourcing, consolidation and warehousing

Eligibility

What we look at.

No scoring black box. These are the things that decide whether financing makes sense for your roastery, and you will hear a clear yes or no.

1
A trading history we can read

Roughly twelve months of sales, or a shorter history with a clear order book. New brands are not excluded, they are assessed differently.

2
A defined lot

Financing attaches to a specific green coffee lot or forward contract, with its own documents, price and volume.

3
Stock held or moved with smoasters

Coffee in our warehouse is coffee we can see and count, which is what makes the assessment quick.

4
A business established in Europe

Registered company in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, with the usual identification and ownership documents.

5
Realistic sell through

The repayment plan follows how fast you actually roast and sell, not an optimistic version of it.

6
Willingness to share numbers

Recent accounts and current stock levels. In return you get the terms in writing before anything is signed.

Meeting all six does not guarantee an offer, and missing one does not rule you out. Every request is assessed individually by the financing partner.

Questions roasters ask

Before you take financing.

What exactly is being financed?

Coffee, not your company in general. CAPITAL. is tied to a specific lot or to stock that already sits in our warehouse, which is why it can work for businesses a normal working capital loan would not look at.

What does it cost?

Terms depend on the lot, the volume, the tenor and your track record, so we do not publish a single rate. You get an indicative term sheet after a short call, before you commit to anything.

Do I have to buy my green coffee through GREEN.?

It helps, because a lot we sourced and store is a lot we can assess. It is not a hard requirement. Talk to us about coffee you already have on the water.

What happens if the coffee does not sell?

We talk about that before it happens, not after. Repayment is built around your roasting and selling rhythm, and the stock stays visible to both sides in the platform the whole time.

Is this a loan from smoasters?

CAPITAL. is arranged together with financing partners. Every offer names the financing party, the terms and the security before you sign anything.
