Our network

Measured,
not promised.

Four things we measure on every lot, order and payout, how we measure them, and what we do not claim. The network behind it: origins, three warehouses, and the partners that move the coffee.

What we measure

Four numbers, one method each.

Premium versus local market

Per cooperative: the FOB price agreed on the platform compared with the local market price the producer reports for the same grade and period. Shown on the cooperative page as a percentage. Source: producer entry, checked by the green team against public reference prices where they exist. Limit: local market prices are self-reported.

Paid on time

Per payout: the date the producer is paid compared with the date agreed in the contract. Reported as the share of payouts on or before the agreed date. Source: the payout records in the platform. Limit: bank transfer times outside Europe are not visible to us.

Traceability at lot level

Per lot: cooperative, washing station, process, harvest window, cupping sheet and warehouse batch record, kept from intake to release. Reported as the share of released kilos with a complete record. Source: intake documentation and FIFO batch records in the warehouse.

Shipment emissions

Per order: an estimate of transport emissions for sea freight from the port of origin to Antwerp and road transport to the warehouse, allocated per kilo of the consolidated container using standard emission factors. Shown at checkout as tonnes CO2 for the order and per kilo. Limit: an estimate, not a measured value; farm-level emissions are not included.

What we do not claim

Honest limits.

No farm gate prices we cannot verify

We publish the FOB price the producer set and the premium the producer reports. We do not publish a farm gate price unless the producer has documented it.

No certification a lot does not carry

A lot is organic on the platform only with a valid certificate and separated storage. Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade tags come from the producer’s certificates, nothing else.

No offsetting claims

The emissions figure is an estimate for transport. Offsetting is offered at cost through a climate partner and is never counted as a reduction.

The network

Origins, warehouses, partners.
